The Mahler beers are hoppy, mostly top-fermented craft beers, which go back to their own recipes. As an Austro-American, Peter Mahler understands how to produce very distinctive aromatic tastes.
Unlike many other breweries, we make an additional bottle fermentation, which we believe creates even more flavors. The resulting carbon dioxide is natural and soft and much easier to digest than induced carbon dioxide.
The beers are dry hoped and bottled unfiltered, which can form a sediment. Common to all varieties is the careful selection of ingredients, many of them organic, and the slow ripening period.
Our main beer types are:
Citra Pale Ale – a strong light, refreshing beer with light citrus notes and naturally integrated carbonic acid (pale ale malt, citra hops and cara)
Ruby Ale – our favorite beer is a strong dark hoppy beer with light passion fruit flavors and naturally integrated carbonic acid (pale ale malt, cara malt, citra, cascade and aurora hops)
Tropical Ale – is a dark beer with a light taste of tropical fruits and natural integrated carbonic acid (Viennese malt, Cara malt, Citra, Cascade and Aurora hops)
Lager Ale – is a dark top-fermented lager of naturally carbonated beer (pale ale malt, cara malt, citra, cascade and aurora hops)
Black Hole Bock – is a dark, very strong top-fermented buck beer with naturally integrated carbonic acid (Viennese malt, Cara Dunkel, Cascade hops)
